A custom studio in your backyard.
Offices, gyms, pool houses, golf simulator, and music studios — you design it and we build it on site…built to fit the yard you already have.
Three starting points. Endless configurations.
Begin with one of three starter models — then it's yours to customize in our Configurator.
Classic lines, timeless proportions, done right.
Best for offices, studios, and storage-forward builds.
Start with Classic →Refined lines, more glass.
Best for gyms, pool houses, and additional living space.
Start with Modern →No limits, our most customizable model.
Best for golf simulators, music studios, and primary-suite-adjacent builds.
Start with Luxe →YardBox Studios are NOT a tiny home or an ADU.
YardBox Studios are different from ADUs and tiny homes — and that is why we are faster and more affordable. Tiny homes with kitchens and bathrooms require extensive permitting and inspections while your YardBox does not.
Each design is unique
The build happens in your yard — not a flimsy kit, or pre-built package that limits your choices. Customized to your home or your site.
No kitchen, no bathroom
Studios are intentionally kept simple, one or two rooms maximum. That is the tradeoff that keeps the price down and the timeline fast.
Built in as little as 4 weeks
Foundation to finish — most Studios are complete in about four weeks from signed contract. See the full breakdown below.
Five ways to use the yard you're not using.
Every category shares the same foundation, framing, and finish standard — the layout changes, the build quality doesn't.
Office Spaces
A real commute-free workday — insulated, wired, and quiet enough for calls.

Home Gyms
Rubber flooring, mirrors, and ventilation specified for real equipment, not a spare room.

Pool Houses
Changing space, storage, and a bar-height counter built to handle wet feet and chlorine.

Golf Simulator Rooms
Ceiling height, impact-screen bracing, and sound isolation planned in before framing starts.
View simulator builds →Music Studios
Isolated framing and acoustic treatment sized to the instruments you're actually playing.

Every build starts as a conversation, not a catalog pick — if it fits in the yard, we'll design for it.

"They quoted one price and that's what we paid — no change orders, no surprises at the end. It doesn't feel like a shed. It feels like a room of the house that happens to be outside."— Homeowner, Draper, UT
Before you ask, we probably already have.
What's actually included in the price? +
Foundation, structure, electrical hookup, HVAC, and interior finish are all quoted as one number before we break ground. Site-specific work like utility trenching is scoped during design.
How long does a build take? +
Most Studios are complete in about four weeks from signed contract — see the full week-by-week breakdown above. Exact timing depends on the size and scope of your build.
Is this the same as an ADU? +
No — that's intentional. ADUs and tiny homes need a kitchen and bathroom, which is a much bigger undertaking. Studios skip both, which is what keeps the build simpler and on a five-week timeline.
Do Studios have a bathroom or kitchen? +
No. Studios are intentionally kept simple — no plumbing for a kitchen or bathroom. That's the tradeoff that keeps the price down and the timeline fast.
How much can I customize the layout? +
Footprint, window placement, interior layout, and finish selections are all part of the design process — the categories above are starting points, not fixed floor plans.
What happens if something needs service later? +
Every build includes structural and workmanship warranty coverage, with one point of contact for anything that comes up after handoff.
